Waypoint Art Project

Get creative with the Waypoint Art Project!

Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care announces a collaborative art project to create a mural for its new building and a collection of art for the hospital at large.

The collaboration is between Waypoint patients/staff/volunteers, artists and the community - enhanced by partnerships with Quest Art and other arts and community organizations. From seasoned professionals to beginners, anyone can be part of the Waypoint Art Project and its visual legacy.

Those who wish to be part of this project are invited to help us build a collection of images for Waypoint’s new building and campus. In ongoing workshops, or in your own spaces, we will create a collection of works for display and for the creation of a mural which will be unveiled June 2014.

Join us for one of a series of free introductory workshops, describing the project and how you can participate.

Presently, and until December, the hospital will be hosting workshops every Thursday from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Midland Cultural Centre in Quest’s Classroom 2. Waypoint will also be announcing additional times and locations for workshops in the upcoming weeks, some of which will take place on the hospitals campus in Penetanguishene.
