Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care, a
specialized mental health hospital located on the shores of Georgian Bay in
Penetanguishene ON, is formally affiliated with the University of Toronto, one
of the top research universities in the world. Waypoint is committed to

The Division comprises the Waypoint
Research Institute through which researchers are provided protected time to
conduct research. The Research & Academics Office also falls under the
purview of the Division and is mandated to facilitate and administer Waypoint
research activities.
The Waypoint research team has developed
many impactful collaborations, including with our cognate psychiatric
hospitals, Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences, The Royal, Centre
for Addiction and Mental Health, and St. Joseph’s Healthcare. The team also has
several academic research partners, including at the University of Toronto,
McMaster University, York University, and Georgian College.
