Patient/Client & Family Council Services

Offer support to patients and their families;

Assist with system navigation and offer resources;

Represent service users on hospital committees, working groups and policy development/consultations;

Share the client & family voice  to advocate for system improvements;

Facilitate a variety of peer-led support and self-help groups and workshops; 

Provide Peer Support and Peer Coaching;

Offer Education, a robust Volunteer program and supported employment opportunities;

Keep abreast of trends affecting MH&A services;

Network with other regional and provincial Peer initiatives


Peer Support

A mutually beneficial relationship between people with similar histories that empowers individuals to consider options, set goals and make changes that enhance their lives. 

Our Peer Supporters have experienced their own mental health challenges and are living examples of courage and recovery.

We have 8 Peer Support staff and 2 Family Support staff. All bring a variety of experiences to their role, along with understanding, compassion and dignity. All inspire hope.
