Referrals at Waypoint

 

At Waypoint, referrals for regional (non-forensic) programs, including outpatients, are received by the Central Intake Office and reviewed by a team of clinicians. The clinicians work collaboratively with the psychiatrist and clinical programs to ensure patients/clients are referred and directed to the most appropriate services.

Central Intake is available from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., 7 days a week including holidays. Messages can be left after business hours and will be returned the next business day.

Central Intake is not a crisis service, if you require immediate help, please call 911 or visit your closest emergency department.

Forensic referrals

 


 

Referrals to Waypoint’s forensic mental health programs are accepted only through the court system or under the jurisdiction of the Ontario Review Board. We do not admit individuals directly from the community to these programs.
