Robert (Bob) Savage holds the position of Vice President, Redevelopment at Waypoint.
In this role, Mr. Savage has been responsible for the major redevelopment since 2008, planning for a new maximum secure forensic hospital and additional entrance, office, recreation and conference facilities. This includes coordinating the activities of the tendering process, design, evaluation, and construction.
Mr. Savage began his health care career as Director of Engineering with Extendicare Health Services and progressively worked his way to becoming Vice President of Planning and Hospital Services of Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ontario during its redevelopment process for a new relocated hospital culminating with the opening of the facility in 1997.
Since that time, Mr. Savage formed his own company and has consulted on many hospital redevelopment projects in the province including Peterborough Regional Health, William Osler, Ross Memorial Hospital, and the new Sault Area Hospital. His experience with Infrastructure Ontario and the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care has been beneficial in the delivery of Waypoint’s redevelopment planning.
Mr. Savage has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from UNB and is a Professional Engineer.
