Members of the Research and Academics Division conduct research which aligns with the four key themes of the Waypoint Research Institute: Risk Factors and Assessment, Treatment and Transitions, Knowledge Translation and Policy.
The scientist-practitioner model is a key part of the Division's philosophy. Many of our researchers have or currently provide clinical services. Throughout the organization, our researchers strive to advocate for, consult on, and assist with the implementation of the ethical, evidence based assessments, interventions and treatments.
In 1997, members of the Research Department were honoured by receiving the Amethyst Award for Outstanding Achievement by Ontario Public Servants.
